Family Self-Sufficiency

Family Self-Sufficiency (FSS) is an employment-focused program available to individuals and families receiving Housing Choice Voucher or Public Housing assistance through Housing Connect. While enrolled in FSS, a participant works towards goals that will increase their independence and reduce their need for government assistance. If you’d like to learn more about the FSS program, watch this video!

A Family Self-Sufficiency escrow account can help you save money for the future.
As your earned income increases, Housing Connect makes contributions to this account. The more your wages grow, the faster the escrow account grows. When your FSS contract is successfully complete, you will receive the remaining balance from the escrow account.
